Abstract

This paper organizes research on Lo Shu as a reproducible mathematical audit and a collection of operator interfaces. Its positive thesis is that the classification of numerical labels and the action of geometric operators must be defined separately and connected through explicit readouts, compressions, and error operators. The classification of order-three magic squares is established mathematics; we give self-contained proofs. Under specified integer, zero-sum, distinctness, and minimum-amplitude conditions, normal Lo Shu squares form one D4 orbit. Within the two-ternary-component integer-readout model, the smallest distinct range requires coefficient magnitudes 3 and 1.On fixed real grids with eight lines in two dimensions and 49 in three, we compare the kernels of line sums, midpoint differences, scalar-potential gradients, and edge-flow divergence. The real three-dimensional all-line zero-sum kernel is trivial, whereas the midpoint kernel consists of four-dimensional affine fields; modulo three, the two equations coincide and both kernels are four-dimensional. Given Lo Shu and a matching integer readout, a finite-field quotient reproduces its nine cells by a three-to-one compression of 27 states, but does not select Lo Shu. Coordinate replication satisfies T^T L3 T = 5 L2. The quotient closure defect has rank seven and Euclidean operator norm sqrt((175 + sqrt(29977))/27) approximately 3.590825; we also give a conditional hidden-channel error bound. All 432 affine bijections and 512 stacks of normal layers are enumerated.Trigram, Five-Phase, and stem-branch configurations are traditional documentary inputs (H), rather than dictionaries derived from magic-square classification. Fourier, vibration, and appendix tight-binding results depend on explicit model choices (M); matched non-Lo-Shu controls distinguish specificity. No observational data are fitted, but model selection and target-based construction remain present. Independent selection of Lo Shu, controlled elimination of hidden channels, and physical actions compatible with traditional topology remain open (O). Mathematical consistency of finite operators is not identified with evidence for a natural or elementary-particle correspondence.
