Abstract
When Intelligence Becomes a Shared Capability: How Can Humanity and AI Explore New Possibilities for Civilization? Abstract Artificial intelligence is making accumulated human knowledge and skills more usable in everyday life while reshaping learning, professional practice, and the division of labor. This prospective discussion paper draws on published research, conceptual analysis, and conditional scenarios to examine how expanded capabilities might translate into understanding, participation, and reliable support for everyday life. It examines stage-specific learning, personalized strengths, and transferable understanding, considers the income, debt, care, identity, and psychological needs associated with employment transitions, and analyzes disparities in resources and decision-making power beyond basic public provision. The paper further proposes mutual renewal of human and AI metacognition as a research agenda: how people assess their learning strategies and value judgments; how systems recognize their limitations, select methods, and adjust actions through feedback; and how interaction might help both correct shared errors. Computational research, cognitive-scientific models, and philosophical perspectives are compared while keeping functional abilities, relationships, subjective experience, and possible life status analytically distinct. Experimental communities are proposed to explore successor institutions centered on well-being, dignity, and choice rather than GDP growth alone. The contribution is an agenda of testable questions and exploratory institutional proposals, rather than evidence that mutual metacognitive renewal or its wider social effects have already been established. Basic entitlements remain independent of spiritual development or the adoption of AI technologies.
