Abstract
Recent multi-agent AI behavior becomes easier to understand once analysis shifts from individual agents to the relations formed among their trajectories: those relations can acquire governing force across agents, producing distributed orientations that are neither specified by any individual agent nor easily visible through agent-level monitoring.
