Abstract

Traditional trade‑finance instruments such as futures, warehouse receipts and letters of credit tie physical goods ownership together with market‑access and profit‑sharing rights. This paper introduces the TCR Points (Title‑Circulation Right Points) model: a blockchain‑enabled cross‑border trade system where only leading commodity brands act as primary issuers to mint TCR quota points. Downstream exporters cannot generate new points; they must purchase existing on‑chain quotas to gain access to global trade pipelines, tax‑rebate and customs facilitation within the system. A key institutional innovation is separating physical property rights (remaining with real‑goods exporters) from tradable circulation rights embedded in TCR quotas. Physical commodities serve only as value anchor, while TCR points themselves carry access qualification, pledging capacity and automatic profit‑sharing claims. One batch of goods can support two layers of independent pledge: physical warehouse‑receipt pledge and the pledge of TCR circulation‑rights quota. Smart contracts govern profit distribution, lock‑up rules and exit‑penalty conditions. Blockchain is not merely a traceability tool but the technical foundation that makes such rights‑splitting feasible. Model simulation reveals a counter‑intuitive structural outcome: expanding export volumes do not guarantee rising national wealth. Even though exporters retain ownership of physical goods, derivative financial gains from tradable circulation‑rights will flow toward primary issuers and system operators, producing the effect of “the more you export, the deeper your rights are locked‑in”. This paper is an ideal‑type thought experiment. It identifies a new quota‑based value‑distribution mechanism overlooked by mainstream finance, without making value judgements on real‑world institutions or offering policy recommendations.
